First Letter

Today was a super good day.  We got our first letter from Elder Dyllon Brown today.  I was a little excited as my cell phone buzzed notifying me that I had some new content on my phone.  I had been faithfully checking every message on my phone for the last 36 hours waiting for an email.  When I saw that it was from him I jumped up and yelled for Kendall out the front door.  He just had to figure out why I was yelling at him, because I was busy devouring his email and turning on my computer.  I was a little perturbed that the email was address to Dad, I have faithfully written the boy each day and his dad only once..........whatever.  Here is the email:

Hey dad! I lied haha i actually have half a P-day today so i have a little time to write emails. The MTC is going great so far and i am loving it. i was a little homesick at first but i am over it i think and am doing great. My companion never showed up so i'm now permanetly a trio with Elder Williams and Elder Smith. Elder Wiliams has been called to district leader and i'm greatful beacuse that means i'm not district leader haha! Me and my trio are glad we took your advice about getting up at 6, there is no one in the showers and we can take our time and it's nice. Elder Williams is a blast and there is no doubt we would have been great friends back home in normal life, none the less we are great friends here and am glad he is 1/3 of our companionship. I love you and the rest of the family, Thanks for the prayers and support!

After reading the email I jumped online and was hoping to catch him online and talk to him. No go, but we did get another email and this time it was addressed to me.  Yippee!  Here it is:

Hey mom,

I'm holding up great and am doing wonderful! There is never a dull day here at the MTC I'll tell ya that much. The work here is exhausting both physically and mentally, but hard work makes good missionaries! I'm doing something almost 24/7, Me, Elder Williams, Elder Smith, Elder Spencer and Elder Murray just got done at the gym whipping up on some other elders in basketball! haha! those are all the Elders in my district! We also have Sister Cady, Sister Boggs, Sister Bingham and Sister Sorensen. Sister Cady is really Loud and funny and is from Chubbick along with Elder Williams! When they talk about Pocatello they always have something funny to say about it. They both don't know Grandma and Grandpa Brown and they both went to that new high school Century.

The food here is okay and it really makes me miss yours. In the care package if you could send some Tapatio hot sauce and Mtn Dew that would be greatly appreciated. i didn't know how hard it was going to be to stay awake in the mornings without caffeine! I also lost my friend Hethers address again unfortunately, i sent a letter in the mail today addressed to you but it's actually for her. If you could get her address off twitter and redirect it to her that would be great! Tell Avery him and Billsy have to send me a letter/email about how camp went when they get back. Tell maddie and Aush i love them and that i would love to here from them soon! Tell Aushlynn I'm expecting a letter from here Nika and Skye to give me all the Deets on the ward! I love you and can't wait to here from you again!

After getting his letters, we rushed and put a box together with Mt. Dew, Tapatio Sauce, a Calypso Lemonade and some peaches from the tree.   Hope the peaches survive the shipping. So, to wrap thing up, I am going to sleep much better tonight knowing that he is loving what he is doing!
