We received a letter from Dyllon and his Mission President.

Dear Family,

I've made it to Knoxville and am doing okay. Things are beautiful here and everything is so lush and green. I can't wait for the real deal to happen tomorrow. I can't lie, I feel a little scared and a lot overwhelmed, but I'm sure as time passes I'll get into the swing of things and I'll be right at home here in Knoxville.  I love you all.

Elder Brown

Dear Brother and Sister Brown,

Sister Irion and I are happy to welcome Elder Brown to the Knoxville Tennessee Mission.  He arrived safely, and we are grateful for his desire to serve the Lord.

He and the other incoming missionaries had dinner with us at the mission home, and then participated in the training seminar, where they received instructions in principles and guidelines found in Preach My Gospel.  Before leaving for his new area, he attended his first testimony and transfer meeting where he was introduced to the mission.  He has now been assigned to serve with his companion Elder Friedman, and will be laboring in the Chilhowee area of the Knoxville Mission.

Our prayers are for his success and happiness as her serves the Lord. Your letters of encouragement will be a great blessing to him.  I am also encouraging him to write you weekly, so that you will know of his well-being and of the experiences he is having. Thanks you for sending such a fine young man.  We know that great blessings are in store for him and you.
